Why is Bush Upset? It's a "C" Average!

The San Francisco Chronicle reported today (Bush plans to renominate 20 as judges, December 24, 2004) that according to Justice Department records, the Senate confirmed "204 of Bush's 260 nominations to the federal district and appellate courts." This works out to 78% or a high C; C plus or maybe even a B minus by some. He's improved!

By the way, according to the same article there are only currently 35 vacancies in these courts not 56 so some of the benches that had nominees declined by the Senate have been filled by other new Bush nominees.
